I'm assuming the reason that you clicked on this is either because you LOVE banana bread or you just LOVE me...whatever the case, I'm okay with it (lol). Today, I am going to share our favorite Banana Bread Recipe that we have used over the years and have tweaked to our liking!

Before you start, make sure you have BROWN bananas. Not yellow bananas with a couple of brown spots, you want the bananas to be brown all over. The browner the bananas, the sweeter your banana bread will be. Plus, brown bananas will make the banana bread super moist. If your bananas aren’t brown yet, wait or ask your neighbors. I am sure they will let you use their brown bananas if you bring then a piece of banana bread. If not there are several ways to speed the process. Click here to see how!
Ingredients
for 6 servings
1 stick butter, softened
1 ½ cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
4 tablespoons sour cream (not fat free)
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
5 ripe bananas (We put 5 for more of a banana flavor)
mini chocolate chips - you can really use however much you want (We use mini chocolate ships because the bigger ones sink to the bottom)
Preparation
1) Preheat oven to 350˚F (180˚F).
2) In a bowl, add the softened butter and sugar and blend until smooth.
3) Add the egg; individually blend them.
4) Add in the sour cream, all-purpose flour, baking soda, & vanilla; blend until smooth.
5) In a separate bowl, mash the bananas until smooth, and then add to your already existing bowl with the other ingredients.
6) Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and add the chocolate chips to your liking. Top with additional chocolate chips.
7) Bake for 30 minutes to an hour, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
8) Cool completely before serving.
9) Enjoy!
Making Banana Bread is quite simple and will be a fan favorite in your family for years to come. The ratio between banana and chocolate chip is so perfect that you won't just want one piece. Remember that you can make it your own! Add Nutella or Walnuts or even top it off with sugar sprinkles! Whatever you do let me and everyone else know in the comment down below! I would love to try it!
