Whats in my Car?

So I truly didn't know what to write this week however, as I have been driving around in preparation for "hurricane" Dorian (because we Miamians don't really take hurricanes seriously) I realized I have a lot of random things in my car. So me being the smart millennial that I am...I decided to write about it.

Now I want to say that I am pretty organized when it comes to my car. That might come as a shock to you, especially to my mother since I can't ever keep my room clean. But when it comes to my baby, I treat him like the king that he is (yes my car is a boy).

I do want to state though, that by no means do you have to get any of the shit that I recommend to you. I just felt like sharing because it is something that I am pretty proud of.

1. Pouch/Bag

I wanted to start off with this item because this is where I keep a majority of my crap. As you can see my car is a Mini and most compartments in Mini are pretty small. So in order to stay a bit more organized I like to keep a small pouch in the driver door so I can stay organized and have easy access to it.

2. Hand Sanitizer

Inside of my pouch I have many things and one of those things is hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer is good for those times where you are about to eat that finger food in the car blasting Bad Bunny and you need to do "wash" your hands quick. Let be honest our hands have nasty little germs and we want to stay as clean as possible when eating or just if your hands feel dirty.

3. Sunscreen

Another item that I carry in my pouch is sunscreen. Many people probably overlook this but sunscreen is so important to put on - especially when driving. I mainly just put it on the tops of my hands to protect it from the harsh rays my hands face while driving. On really sunny days I will put some on my face if I'm not wearing make-up (which a majority of the time I'm not).

4. Toothpicks

I like to keep Toothpicks in my pouch when I need to get something out of my teeth. Maybe I am the only one that this happens to but I seem to always find food in my teeth when I'm driving and it drives me crazy. So the toothpick really comes in handy during those rough times. I also want to note that the toothpicks that I get are great! On one end they have the toothpick and on the other end they have a small brush with a listerine ball in the center to get a quick fix me up of breath.

5. Wet Wipes (singles)

Call me a hoarder but when I go to CFA I love to grab a bunch of those single packet wet wipes to throw into my pouch. I feel like you never know when you will need them and they are pretty versatile - for things like spills or cleaning your hands. Im pretty sure you can't go wrong with picking up a few (or 100) the next time you are at CFA.

6. Hand Lotion

I am a hydration QUEEN and with all the times that I wash my hands and put hand sanitizer on, my hands get pretty dry. So I like to keep a small hand cream in my pouch to keep my hands hydrated at all times. +++ the sent always makes the world go round.

7. Mini Body Spray

We all love a good smell - especially when we are the ones that smell good. And thats why I have a mini PINK body spray. I love to smell good and it never hurts to spray a few (or the whole bottle) on yourself when getting out. Ladies I promise your boo thang will drool and guys you already girls are lil nasties for it.

8. Gum

I don't have to say anything about this. If you don'y have gum in your car then I am reporting you to the police.

9. Chapstick

So I am pretty weird - some of you already know this. I have THREE (yes three) different chapsticks. One is my medicated chapstick that I wear all the time because I wasn't blessed with smooth lips, another is one that I lend to my friends because hahah I am not going to let them use my medicated one, and the other one is a lipgloss for those cute times where I think I am a "lil latin ting". Most people have chapstick in their car and if you don't....helloooooo what are you doing?!

9. Coin Container

Thanks to my dad, I just recently started to do this. We all get spare change from something and just put it randomly in our car. So I keep a little coin container in my center compartment for all my coins (mainly quarters). And for those times that I need to pay for a meter or whatever else I have coins handy. Its literally genius and I changed your life forever...you are SO WELCOME!

10. Hair Ties

Girls we all know that we need hair ties. We can't avoid it...your hair is in your face - we want one, it gets hot - we want one, it gets cold - we still want one, we...-we want one. I think you get the point. And boys with your long peso sucio, its time to cut it.

11. Napkins

As much as I am a wet wipe hoarder, it does't even begin to compare to to my napkin collection. I keep these bad boys in my glove compartment so if I have a running nose, spill, or simply need to clean my hands, I have them nice and handy. You can literally steal them from any fast food place or just have extra in your fast food bags that you can stash away in your car.

12. Pen

Having a pen in your car is a must. Normally people wouldn't think about keeping a pen in their car however, nine times out of ten you are going to need one. I say that people don't think about it too much is because your really don't. You don't until you are sitting there saying "shit I need a pen".

13. Feminine Hygiene

Ladies, I know for a fact once in your life you have gotten your period and have had no pads or tampons. I know I certainly have so because you get burned once and only once (right? I would hope so) I like to keep an extra pad or tampon in my car for any emergency situations.

I's sure you're looking at this and thinking Nicole WTF!?! Why do you have so much shit in your car? And my answer to that is, we live in our car whether you think about it or not. We use our car for almost everything in our life, so making it your own and having things in it to make it easier makes it so much more enjoyable.
